Objectives: Obesity is a chronic low-grade inflammatory condition that increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. Elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) has been associated with cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome in adults.
